Requirements

Students must be committed to the program. Attendance and participation is the key to your development in addition to all homework assignments and any additional classroom work. We will also have some required reading material that you will need to purchase prior to the program starting. We require a $250 non-refundable deposit that will be required at the time of submission of your application. Click here to learn more about the cost of the program. We also strongly recommend that you have at least one year of practicing yoga. Our teacher training is specifically to develop you into a teacher. If you are looking to increase your knowledge base as a student, please reach out to Katy for different educational opportunities.

Our program at The Yoga Loft is a 8 week program, designed to be completed in the studio. There will be additional outside assignments but the majority of the 200 hours will be with the lead instructor, Katy 200 hr e-RYT, click here to read her bio. As part of the program, you will have unlimited yoga at The Yoga Loft for free during your 9 week training, 10% off any merchandise, in addition to networking with fellow instructors, and an opportunity to be part of this amazing community during the program.

Attendance Policy

100% attendance is required. Students are expected to be on time, present and prepared. Any potential missed hours must be communicated prior to absence and completed before graduation. Missed hours can be completed in the form of specified workshops, or if an instructor is required to spend time with the student to cover missed information, a fee of $75/hour applies.

What to Bring

What to Expect

The goal of our 200 hour teacher training program is to prepare you to be able to teach yoga classes, to kids, tweens and adults! During our program, we will give you many opportunities to teach throughout the program, dive deeper into your own practice and learn more about yourself. Coming with an open mind and be ready to learn is key. The program has a mixture of lecture, movement, class discussion, class participation, and always opportunities to ask questions. This is YOUR time to LEARN! Take advantage of your training by coming prepared, ready to ask questions and participate. In addition, giving and receiving feedback is part of this training. We cannot grow if we do not know where we have opportunities.
