Class Styles


The Yoga Loft offers a variety of class styles so you can explore all that yoga can offer. We encourage you to try different styles! No matter the intensity level of the class, our instructors will always provide modifications to help you feel comfortable as you progress in your yoga practice. If you’re new to yoga, consider a low intensity class that will introduce you to the basics of yoga at a comfortable pace.

Restorative

Intensity: Low
Temperature: Normal

Restorative is an active stretching class that targets primary muscle groups surrounding the hips, hamstrings and upper back. This class begins with warm-up movements to build heat and prepare the muscles for stretching. Most poses are done on the floor and held for 1-2 minutes. Holding poses for longer periods of time and focusing on breath gives the body time to fully relax and open.

Ideal for: Low Impact, Stretching, Beginner Yoga

Gentle Yoga

Intensity: Low
Temperature: Normal

Gentle Yoga is a perfect class for those in need of a slower paced class. Whether you're at the beginning of your yoga journey or prefer to move in a mindful way, this class is perfect for you. Our gentle yoga class is designed to incorporate mindful breathing as well as basic meditation. Up and down movements are limited in this class.

Ideal for: Low Impact, Gentle Yoga, Beginner Yoga

Slow Flow

Intensity: Low
Temperature: Normal

Slow Flow is a combination of accessible poses, fluid movement and breath. Classes will move through a series of poses that gently engage and open all the major muscle groups. Slow Flow, contributing to spinal health, improved posture and overall well-being.

Ideal for: Easy Pace, Beginner’s Yoga, Stretching

Candlelight Flow

Intensity: Medium
Temperature: Normal

Candlelight Flow is a combination of accessible poses, fluid movement and breath. Classes will move through a series of poses that engage and open all the major muscle groups. Class format is taken at a slower pace contributing to spinal health, improved posture and overall well-being.

Ideal for: Easy Pace, Beginner’s Yoga, Stretching

Flow

Intensity: Medium
Temperature: Normal

Vinyasa Flow is an advanced practice that connects dynamic movement, sustained postures and breath. Each class begins with gentle warm up movements designed to build heat throughout the body. As class progresses you can expect creative sequences and unique transitions that intelligently open and prepare your body for a peak posture.

Ideal for: Moderate Pace, Practicing Yoga, Peak Pose

Power Yoga

Intensity: High
Temperature: Normal

Vinyasa Flow II is a series of poses, using your breath as the guide for your pace. Explore your potential in class, playing around with backbends, inversions and arm balances. Our instructors always provide modifications to allow you to feel comfortable in your movements. The class facilitates detoxification, and promotes a sense of energy and empowerment. Class room is heated to 80 degrees to allow the body to feel warmer when transitioning through poses.

Ideal for: Fast Pace, Practicing Yoga, Peak Pose
